June

The first instalment of TPF TALKS took place during Pride month and centred the voices of the Queer community and folks that centre the LGBTQIA+ community in their work. We were delighted to be joined by Callum Leo Hughes, Alia Romagnoli & Anjum Mouj. You can watch it back here.

July

As our launch of TPF TALKS missed International Women’s Day in 2020, we held a belated celebration and used July’s event to centre the voices of women in photography, we were joined by Holly Falconer & Chantel King. You can see some photos from the event here.

August

As August is a month associated with carnival, we used this event to celebrate photographers that centre migrant communities in their work. We were delighted to have Rehan Jamil speak at this event. You can look back at some photos here.

September

Usually a time to prepare for the return to school or university, we used our September event to celebrate youth culture, focussing on both emerging photographers and people who centre youth culture in their work. We were delighted to have the founder of BRICK Magazine & photographer, Hayley Louisa Brown, speaking at this event. You can watch the talk back here.

October

As October marks Black History Month, one of the most important dates in the calendar, we will amplified Black photographers and people telling stories about the diaspora. We were delighted to have Eddie Otchere speaking at this event. You can watch the talk back here.

November

With movements such as Movember encouraging men to talk about their physical and mental health, we wanted to use this event to spotlight male photographers who centre men’s vulnerability and deconstruct toxic masculinity. We were delighted to have Ken Lams speaking at this event. You can watch the talk back here.

December

We wanted to use December’s event as a chance to gather and reflect on the turbulent year gone by and imagine our hopes for the year ahead. Sadly, this event was cancelled due to the uncertainty around covid.
