Let us Introduce TPF Talks
TPF TALKS is our series of monthly talks delivered by industry professionals. We aim to create a space where creatives at any stage in their career can connect, learn and collaborate. Each month, our talks have a different focus – this could be freelancing skills or centred around important dates such as Black History Month & Pride Month.
During the talk, we hand over the mic to a photographer or creative from an under-represented group, or someone who’s work centres a specific issue or theme (such as how to submit your work to magazines). They share their journey and some of their projects – the floor is then opened to questions ranging from career tips and tricks, to finding motivation.
We want to level the playing field, so we host professionals who have worked in the industry for decades or just a few years. They share their insights, stories and tips to encourage the next generation of photographers and creatives to be part of the conversation & build their networks.
At a typical talk you can expect:
• A photographer or creative sharing some of their work and their career – followed by an audience Q&A!
• Refreshments & networking activities
• An informal and welcoming space to network & connect with other photographers and creatives
• An opportunity to speak to staff & alumni about our Training Programme or about getting more involved with TPF

Deliver a TPF Talks
Fill in your details here and we'll be in touch to discuss!
We are always looking for experienced or interesting photographers and creatives who have a story to tell – and trust us, you will definitely have an interesting story and perspective to share!
Each talk centres around our core pillars:
• Disability & accessibility
• Sustainable & affordable photography
• Wellbeing & representation
We ask that your talk centres around one or more of these pillars whilst bringing your own unique perspective and advice. We will work with you to plan the talk and the themes.

TPF Talks x You!
Get in touch if you'd like to explore collaborative talks.
In the past, we have delivered talks in partnership with Dazed, Ravensbourne University, The Photobook Cafe & The Design District. We’re always excited to work with likeminded organisations and institutions to deliver collaborative talks – on a one-off basis or an entire series, whatever suits you!
We will work in collaboration with you to source the speakers and produce the event. As a small organisation, we’re keen to reach a wider audience and tap into more established platforms.

Sponsor a TPF Talk
Get in touch if you'd like to explore donating to or sponsoring our talks.
We want to continue to keep our talks free and accessible, and to grow the TPF Talks brand to reach a wider audience. We can only do this with help from the community sponsoring our TPF Talks.
If you are able to sponsor or support us in any way, from event space to partnership packages, we’d love to hear from you. We can tailor make a TPF Talk to suit your needs and we have a fantastic community of passionate creatives as our audience.
Our Previous TPF Talks
Since June 2021, we have held a monthly talk (or two) in our studio, or at one of our partner’s venues across London.
We want our talks, and speakers, to be as inclusive and diverse as our community.
Our speakers have ranged from Rehan Jamil, a Muslim photographer documenting the East End Mosque; to a Judah Passow, a Jewish photographer who co-founded a photographer’s co-operative in the 80’s; to photographers such as Tee Max & Eddie Otchere who have shot Biggie Smalls & Aaliyah; & emerging photographers such as Alfie White, Zula Rabiowska & Ken Lam who have just had their first commissions or funded exhibitions.
