Outreach & Community
Welcome to the TPF community! Keeping us connected and inspired online by sharing photography resources, industry insights and our TPF Blog.
We hope you enjoy being a part of the community.
Outreach
Community is at the heart of all we do. We are committed to sharing our knowledge by offering photography related outreach programmes to other charities and third sector organisations working with young people. From open days to careers talks, our outreach offer outlines how you can work with us to support the young people you work with.
Supporting TPF
We are always looking to grow our community of professional partnerships and collaborations at TPF and have a range of opportunities available. You can support the foundation by becoming a mentor, teaching a workshop, delivering a talk or participating in one-off events.
We are also seeking individuals and organisations who can offer our trainees paid work experience and opportunities, assisting opportunities and live project briefs.
If you work in a photography related profession, we’d love to hear from you! Register your interest in working with us below and we will get in touch with you.
Community
Our community programmes are an important part of our commitment to promoting the art of photography to the wider community. Working in partnership with organisations such as Hackney Council, Create Jobs and The Photobook Café, we create opportunities for young people in London to create, connect and share.

Summer Open Studio
In August 2021, we held our first Open Studio which allowed young people in the community to get to know our space and network.
We hosted a portrait session in our studio as well as a creative vision boarding session. This was a great way to connect young people with a creative hobby, inspire their future interests and meet like-minded people in their community!
Projects
Black History Month Zine
For Black History Month, we wanted to support and spotlight Black talent both online and offline. We opened submissions on our Instagram platform with the theme of “what does Black representation look and feel like to you?”. This zine displays work responding to the set brief, as well as work from the wider portfolio of the selected photographers.
We’ve loved seeing the work of every Black photographer who responded to our brief and saw Black representation captured so beautifully and thoughtfully. The zine is now available for purchase in our shop and the profit made will go back into funding the foundation.
