Sadie Gains

I am a North London-based photographer and projects coordinator with a passion for documentary photography and community engagement. My charity experience dates back to volunteering at a local Leeds youth club as a teenager and supporting a plant-based community kitchen in Hackney during university, before completing a third sector graduate scheme at a housing association in London.

My creative practice and freelance career have led to some great opportunities and experiences such as supporting a graffiti artist with her social media, creating campaigns for a PR company and working with a photography studio in Tottenham to facilitate photography workshops for young people who have left mainstream education.

After spending two years working for a lottery-funded community project in North London, I joined The Photography Foundation in April 2021 to support their training programme and community outreach activities. My role now focuses on programming and developing our public events programme, TPFTALKS, as well as mentor recruitment & other areas of engagement.
